Junior Cycle At Newport College we allow each student an opportunity to get a taste of our full range of subjects during first year. At the end of first year the students decide on the subjects they wish to take at Certificate examination level. The class teachers, and Careers Guidance Counsellor advise students on making the best choice. Parents are also consulted at this stage.
